Research Interests

1. Nanophotonics: We are developing metamaterials, metasurfaces, and plasmonic structures for manipulating light, with focuses on optical sensing and spectroscopy, dynamic control of structural color and thermal emission, radiative cooling and thermophotovoltaics.


2. Solar energy conversions: We are developing solar absorbers, thermal emitters and efficient heat transfer structures for various solar energy conversion systems such as interfacial steam generation, solar thermophotovoltaics and solar cells.
