摘要:

Superconductivity, characterized by zero resistance and the expulsion of magnetic fields, exhibits remarkable new behavior when coupled with other materials. This talk offers a pedagogical introduction to the physics of hybrid structures, focusing on Superconductor/Normal Metal (S/N) and Superconductor/Ferromagnet (S/F) junctions. We will begin by discussing the superconducting proximity effect, the cornerstone of these systems, where Cooper pairs penetrate into the adjacent material. In a normal metal, this induces a "softened" superconducting state, governed by the physics of Andreev reflection and the formation of a minigap in the density of states. The situation becomes dramatically different when the superconductor is coupled to a ferromagnet. Here, the exchange field of the ferromagnet imposes a strong spin-splitting, creating a fundamental antagonism with spin-singlet Cooper pairing. We will discuss how this leads to oscillatory and damped superconducting order parameters and the potential realization of the Fulde-Ferrell-Larkin-Ovchinnikov (FFLO) state. Furthermore, we will touch upon the generation of long-range spin-triplet supercurrents in certain S/F heterostructures, a key ingredient for superconducting spintronics. We will connect these fundamental concepts to their implications for emerging technologies, including phase-coherent devices and cryogenic memory.
