摘要:Molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) enables the atom-by-atom synthesis of quantum materials with accurate control over composition, defects, strain, and interfaces. In this talk, I will present our efforts to synthesize and engineer materials ranging from ferroelectric and superconducting functional oxides to transition-metal chalcogenide monolayers. These examples illustrate how atomic-scale control can stabilize and tune intriguing quantum properties. Such capabilities provide promising routes toward developing functional complex materials for practical electronic and photonic devices. |
